Harry did it then, although only just in the end, as a mere 3,000 sales prevented Ed from making it 14 weeks at Number 1. Styles becomes the second member of 1D to reach Number 1 in the charts after Zayn hit the top with his debut, Pillowtawk" last year.
It will be interesting to see if he can repeat Zayn's feat of debuting at Number 1 in both the UK & US chart, when the new Hot 100 list is announced on Tuesday.
Anyway, here is Harry Styles with "Sign Of The Times".
After 13 weeks at the top, "Shape Of You" drops to Number 2 and "Galway Girl" drops to 3 after 5 weeks as runner up. In fact, all last week's Top 5 drop one place this week - "Symphony" by Clean Bandit & Zara Larsson drops to 4, "Passionfruit" by Drake drops to 5 & "Something Just Like This" by Chainsmokers & Coldplay drops to 6.
Martin Jensen's "Solo Dance" marks its 12th week on the listing by climbing another place to 7, while also climbing one place to 8 this week is Zedd & Alessia Cara with "Stay".
Dropping two to 9 is another collaboration - "It Ain't Me" by Kygo & Selena Gomez, while down 4 at 10 is the third Sheeran track in the Top 10, "Castle On The Hill".
Back up 7 places to 20 this week, Lorde finally gets her second UK Top 20 hit, more than 3 years after her first, the massive 2013 Number 1 "Royals".
This is "Green Light".
Finally getting some momentum going after 7 weeks on the chart, up 10 places to 24 this week is Jason Derulo, Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign with "Swalla".

Up 7 to 26 this week is Future with "Mask Off", but as there is no video, we move on to the track one place lower.
The highest climber this week moves up 15 places to 27, and is a collaboration between French DJ/producer Martin Solveig & Norwegian singer/songwriter Ina Wroldsen. It gives Solveig his fourth UK Top 30 single, and Wroldsen her first, although it was her vocal that Calvin Harris & Disciples used on their massive Number 2 hit from 2015, "How Deep Is Your Love". She also co-wrote the current Number 4 track, "Symphony", as well as "Rockabye" with Clean Bandit, as well as "Human" by Rag 'n; Bone Man. amongst a long list of credits.
Taking its sample from Boy Meets Girl's Top 10 hit from 1988, "Waiting For A Star To Fall". this is "Places".
Talking of Disciples, they have this week's second highest new entry, as "On My Mind" debuts at Number 34. It is the production trio's second UK Top 40 hit in their own right (apart from the aforementioned "How Deep Is Your Love"), after their 2014 Number 24 hit, "They Don't Know".
Here are Nathan, Gavin & Luke with "On My Mind".
Up nine places to 41 this week, just missing out on his first Top 40 entry, is Stratford-born rapper Momodou Jallow (AKA J Hus).
This is "Did You See".
Surprisingly, back up 14 places to 47 this week, is Daft Punk & the Weeknd.
This is "I Feel It Coming".
Another track moving back up, this time 12 places to 56, is the recent Number 2 hit from Zara Larsson with 22 weeks on teh chart.
This is "I Would Like".
Up 11 to 59 is a track which is currently in the Top 5 in the US.
Featuring rapper Lil' Yachty, this is Kyle with "iSpy".
As usual, I finish with tracks from the US & UK Number 1 albums. No surprise in the UK as Ed Sheeran makes it six weeks at the top with "Divide". It is the longest run at Number 1 for an album since Adele's "25" reached 7 weeks in January last year.
From the album, the track which is at Number 3 on the singles chart, this is "Galway Girl".
In the US, Drake gets his third week at Number 1 with "More Life". (Un)fortunately he has not released any videos for any of the tracks, so we have to end there.
