WEEK ENDING 22nd JULY 2017

Nine weeks at the top it is then as "Despacito" becomes just the 20th track in chart history to spend as long at the top, although four of them have come in the last year.  In fact, from the end of Wet Wet Wet's 15 week sting at the top with "Love Is All Around" in September 1994 until Drake's "One Dance" started its own 15 week run in April 2016, just two tracks spent 9 weeks at the top - "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley & "Umbrella" by Rihanna featuring Jay-Z.  That's just two 9 week chart toppers in 22 years.

Anyway well done (again) to Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber.

Static at Number 2 for a third week is DJ Khaled featuring Rihanna & Bryson Tiller with "Wild Thoughts", while also static at 3 is French Montana & Swae Lee with "Unforgettable".

Up two places to 4 is "Feels" by Calvin Harris featuring Pharrell, Katy Perry & Big Sean.  Harris ahs now totalled 573 weeks on the UK Singles chart, putting in joint tenth place on the all time list with Drake.  As he currently has three songs on the current chart and Drake just two, he is likely to claim 10th spot for himself next week.

Down one place to 5 this week is Jonas Blue & William Singe with "Mama", while up into the Top 10, moving up 6 places to 6 is Sigala & Ella Eyre.

This is "Came Here For Love".

Down two places to 7 drops Liam & Quavo with "Strip That Down", while also dropping down the chart, one place to 8, is Rita Ora with "Your Song".

Static at 9 is Maggie Lindemann with "Pretty Girl", while dropping 2 to 10 is Little Mix & Stormzy with "Power".

Up 6 places to 18 this week is Rudimental featuring James Arthur.

This is "Sun Comes Up".

Up seven places to 19 this week, is Major Lazer featuring Travis Scott & Camila Cabelo.  Giving ex-Fifth Harmony member Cabelo her second entry in this week's Top 20, this is "Know No Better".

Up 21 places to Number 21, and this week's joint highest climber, is a track which peaked at Number 10 way back in March.

Featuring Frank Ocean and Migos, this is the second Calvin Harris track in the Top 30.  This is "Slide".

In at 26 this week is this week's highest new entry, and is yet another collaboration.

Featuring 1D's Liam Payne, this is Zedd with "Get Low".

A welcome sight at Number 30 this week, after all her much publicised troubles, is Kesha who returns to the Top 30 in the UK since May 2104 and her Number 1 collaboration with Pitbull, "Timber".

Welcome back Kesha Rose Sebert - her she is with "Praying".

Up 9 places and moving into the Top 40 at Number 38 this week, is Jax Jones' follow up to the Top 3 smash, "You Don't Know Me".

Featuring Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don, this is "Instruction".

Up another ten places to 45 this week, is the track which has been in the Top 200 Singles chart ever since its release in 2004 - "Mr Brightside" by the Killers.  It is now in its highest chart position since it reached Number 28 on the first chart of 2014.

In my opinion the best track of the century, here is the video.

This week's other joint highest climber moves up 12 places to 55 this week.

Featuring Yxng Bane this is Yungen with "Bestie".

Ausual, I finish with tracks from the US & UK Number 1 albums.  In the UK, "Divide" by Ed Sheeran claims its 14th week at the top.

From the album, this is the single "Galway Girl".

In the US, DJ Khaled retains the top spot for a second week with his second consecutive Number One long player.

From the album, "Grateful", this is the current Top 10 hit, "Wild Thoughts" which features Rihanna & Bryson Tiller.
