With their fifth studio album "Wonderful Wonderful" taking the top spot on the UK Album chart last week, Las Vegas' finest, the Killers make it a 100% record - all 5 of their studio albums hit Number One - the first non-British band to achieve the feat.
Their albums are listed below:-
Hot Fuss - hit Number One on 22nd January 2005 for 2 weeks
Sam's Town - hit Number One on 14th October 2006 for 3 weeks
Day & Age - hit Number One on 6th December 2008 for 1 week
Battle Born - hit Number One on 29th September 2012 for 1 week
Wonderful Wonderful - hit Number One on 7th October 2017 for 1 week
The only acts ahead of them are Oasis & Coldplay who have had all 7 of their studio albums hit Number 1.
However, in total Noel Gallagher of Oasis leads the way with all 9 of his albums reaching Number One - 7 with Oasis & 2 with the High Flying Birds. Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys has 7 out of 7 - 5 with the Arctic Monkeys & 2 with Last Shadow Puppets, while Brandon Flowers of the Killers has also hit Number One with both of his solo releases giving him a perfect 7 out of 7 as well.
So well done to the Killers, and here is their finest moment - the track which has spent 184 weeks in the UK Top 100 - from the "Hot Fuss" album, this is "Mr Brightside".
