WEEK ENDING 9th DECEMBER 2017

Showing no sign of vacating top spot yet, Camila & Young Thug make it 5 weeks at Number One this week.  Camila Cabello becomes the first female lead artist to spend as many as five consecutive weeks at the top since Katy Perry with "I Kissed A Girl" in 2008.

This is "Havana".

Spending a third week at Number 2 this week is Rita Ora "Anywhere", while moving up one place, to a new chart peak of Number 3, is Ed Sheeran with "Perfect".

Down one place to 4 is "Silence" from Marshmello & Khalid, while still climbing, up one place to 5 this week, is YouTube celebrity, comedian Michael Daapah, in character as Big Shaq with "Man's Not Hot".

Finally hitting the Top 10 after 5 weeks on the chart is the latest from Clean Bandit which moves up 5 places to Number 6.

Featuring Julia Michaels, here is "I Miss You".

Down two places to 7 is Sam Smith with "Too Good At Goodbyes", while down one to 8 are Stormzy & MNEK with "Blinded By Your Grace - Pt 2".

Static at 9 are Selena Gomez & Marshmello with "Wolves", while into the Top 10 for the first time is US record producer/DJ Marc Kinchen (AKA MK).

Up from last week's Number 16, this is MK with "17".

In at 11 is this week's highest new entry.

From James Arthur, this is "Naked".

Up 12 places to Number 22 this week, on its 67th week in the Top 75, is the Mariah Carey Christmas classic, "All I Want For Christmas Is You".

Here's the video.

New at Number 25 is an unusual collaboration.

From Craig David & Bastille, this is "I Know You".

Another Christmas classic returns at Number 29 this week.  "Last Christmas" by Wham! peaked at Number 2 way back in 1984, and has now totalled 69 weeks in the Top 75.

Making the Top 40 for the seventh successive year, here is "Last Christmas".

At Number 31 is another re-entry, and in my opinion one of the singles of the year.  First charting two months ago, it failed to make the Top 50, but has now hit the Top 40 for the first time as its parent album, "Who Built The Moon" gives Noel Gallagher his 10th UK Number One album,

This is Noel Gallagher & his High Flying Birds with "Holy Mountain".

Up 16 places to Number 34 this week, is 20 year old Rachel Keen, who performs as Raye.  Early this year she was featured vocalist on the Number 3 hit from Jax Jones "You Don't Know Me".  On her first Top 40 hit as a lead artist, she collaborates with Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade (AKA Mr Eazi).

This is "Decline".

Also up 16 places this week, from 60 to 44, 3 places, is another collaboration.  Featuring guest appearances by Alesso & Watt, this is Hailee Steinfeld with "Let Me Go".

New at 46 this week is a UK chart debut from seven piece South Korean boyband BTS.

This is "Mic Drop".

This week's highest climber moves up 17 places to 54 this week, and is the title track of Pink's recent UK & US Number One album.

With "Beautiful Trauma", this is Pink.

As usual I finish off with tracks from the US & UK Number 1 albums.  As mentioned above, in the UK, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds take the prize with their third Number 1 album, "Who Built The Moon".

From the album, this is "She Taught Me How To Fly".

In the US, Taylor Swift makes it two weeks at the top - the first album to spend a second week at Number 1 since Jay Z's "4:44" in July.

From the album, here is the former Number One single, "Look What You Made Me Do".
