This week Ed Sheeran clocks up 831 weeks on the UK Singles Top 75 chart, a figure which moves him ahead of Rihanna as the artist with the most weeks on the UK Singles chart this decade. The remarkable thing is that his first hit was in June 2011, by which time Rihanna had already totalled 254 weeks on the chart in the decade. His total also eclipses the previous record for the most weeks in a decade, previously held by the Shadows with 632 weeks in the 196o's.
