DRAKE CLOCKS UP 600 TOTAL WEEKS ON THE UK SINGLES CHART

This week Drake hits the 600 total weeks mark on the UK Singles chart, becoming just the 12th artist ever to reach this total, and he is now just 8 weeks behind Justin Bieber in the race to become the most successful Canadian artist ever.

He first hit the chart at the very end of the last decade, as "Forever", his collaboration with Kanye West, Lil' Wayne & Eminem, reached the Top 50, and his first Top 10 hit came as guest vocalist on Rihanna's 2011 Number 1 "What's My Name".

He has now had 71 UK Hit singles, only 7 artists have had more, but just 12 of them have reached the Top 10.  He has had three Number One singles - "What's My Name" (with Rihanna) in 2011; the 15 weeks chart topper "One Dance" (with WizKid & Kyla) in 2016 and the current 9 weeks chart topper, "God's Plan".  He is, therefore, the first artist ever to have two records spend at least 9 weeks at Number 1.
