After waiting patiently for seven weeks at Number 2 before taking the Number One spot last week, "These Days" is toppled after just a single week by comedian David Burd whose alter ego, Lil' Dicky, takes the honours this week with his genuinely funny take on the "Freaky Friday" scenario, in which Lil' Dicky swaps bodies with R & B legend Chris Brown.
It gives Brown just his second UK Number 1 single, almost 6 years to the day since "Turn Up The Music" spent a single week at the top.
As I said, genuinely funny, here is the video.

"These Days" from Rudimental, Jess Glynne & Macklemore drops one lace to spend its eight week in the runner up spot, just one behind the record set more than 60 years ago by Kitty Kallen's, "LIttle Things Mean A Lot", while back up five places to 3 this week is "This Is Me" from the "Greatest Showman" soundtrack album, which itself returns to Number 1 on the album chart for a twelfth (non-consecutive) week at Number 1.
Boosted by its use on the "Full Monty" special on TV, this is Keala Settle and the Ensemble with, "This Is Me".
The next three tracks all drop down two places this week - from 2 to 4 goes George Ezra with "Paradise", from 3 to 5 goes Portugal. The Man with "Feel It Still and dropping from 4 to 6 are Marshmello & Anne-Marie with "Friends".
This week's highest new entry comes from this week's highest new entry on the album chart, the 6 track mixtape called "My Dear Melancholy" which enters at Number 3 this week.
From the tape, this is the Weeknd with "Call Out My Name".
Down two places to 8 goes "Psycho" from Post Malone & Ty Dolla Sign, while static at 9 is "Lullaby" from Sigala with Paloma Faith.
And down three places to 10 is "The Middle" from Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey.
New at 17 and 18 this week, are two more tracks from the Weeknd's "My Dear Melancholy".
First up at 17 is "Try Me".
...and at 18 is "Wasted Times".
that Drake Number 1 for the past 9 weeks, "God's Plan", drops to Number 10 this week. Just five songs have ever fallen further from Number 1 - see separate post on this blog for the complete list.
The rest of the Top 40 is fairly static, although we should give a shout out to one of the artists on the Number 40 hit, "Tip Toe", as French Montana hits 100 total weeks on the UK Singles chart this week, just under a year since his first hit. So well done to him.
This week's highest climber moves up 17 places to Number 49, and is a collaboration between Canadian Electro-Caribbean production duo Soke & KNY Factory (AKA Banx & Ranx), British singer Ella Eyra and 22 year old English rapper Yxng Bane.
This is "Answerphone".
Finally, new at Number 50 this week, is the sixth hit single from Taylor Swift's "Reputation" album.
This is "Delicate".
As usual I finish off with tracks from the US & UK Number 1 albums. In the UK, it's business as usual as "The Greatest Showman" reclaims top spot to make it 12 (non-consecutive) weeks at Number 1.

In the US, rocker Jack White makes it three Number Ones from three solo releases as "Boarding House Reach" takes the honours across the water.
From the album this is "Over And Over And Over".
