WEEK ENDING 2nd SEPTEMBER 2017

To buck the recent trend, Dual Lipa holds on to her Number One spot for a second week, holding off the might of the new Justin Bieber single.

Again, well done to her - here she is with "New Rules".

Brand new in at Number 2 is Mr Bieber with his 4th Top 10 hit of the year, and his 15th overall.  He is assisted on this track by Bloodpop, a name that you may not know, but is actually the professional name of American musician Michael Tucker, who was co-writer of a previous Bieber Number One, "Sorry", as well as a number of tracks on the Lady Gaga album, "Joanne" amongst many other credits.

This is "Friends".

Down one place to 3 is the former Number One, "Feels" from Calvin, Katy, Pharrell & Sean, while up one to 4 from last week's debut position is Pink with "What About Us".

The second new entry in the Top 5 is another Spanish song with added English lyrics.  CNCO are a Latin American boy band consisting of five singers who won the "La Banda" talent contest in 2015.  "Reggaeton Lento" was released as their third single in October last year and reached Number 6 on the US Latin chart.  A remix was then released featuring 2011 X Factor winners Little Mix, and this is the version that charts this week.

Here is the original Spanish version by CNCO.

Back up one place to 6 is Rudimental with James Arthur and "Sun Comes Up", while swopping places, moving down one to 7 is "Despacito" by Luis, Daddy & Bieber.

Up 4 places to 8 is the third Spanish hit in the Top 10, "Mi Gente" by J Balvin & Willy William, while down one to 9 is "Back To You" by Louis Tomlinson featuring Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm Animals.

At 10, up 6 places, and into the Top 10 for the first time this week, its well done to James Hype & Kelli-Leigh.

This is "More Than Friends".

New at 21 this week, and back with his biggest hit for 2 years, is Chris Brown, who also becomes just the 16th artist in UK chart history to clock up 500 weeks on the Singles chart.

Here he is with "Questions".

Up 19 more places this week, up to Number 36 is Macklemore (featuring the vocals of Skylar Grey).

Charting without his longtime collaborator Ryan Lewis for the first time, here he is with "Glorious".

One place lower, and moving up an impressive 20 places this week, is former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello.

Featuring US rapper Young Thug, this is "Havana".

This week's highest climber moves up 23 places to 42 this week.  Portugal. The Man is a US rock band for Oregon, who released their first album back in 2006.

From their recently released 8th album, "Woodstock", here is the band with "Feel It Still".

Ausual, I finish with tracks from the US & UK Number 1 albums.  In the UK, Ed Sheeran's "Divide" spends it's 17th week at the top.

From the album, this is "Galway Girl".

In the US, Kesha's third album becomes her second chart topper, following on from her 2010 debut, "Animal".

From the album, here is the current hit, "Praying".
