The latest album by Eminem, "Revival", debuted at Number 1 in the UK this week, giving the rapper his 8th consecutive chart topper. He now jointly holds the record for most consecutive Number 1 albums with Led Zeppelin & Abba. In the US he now also holds the record for most consecutive albums debuting at Number 1 with 8.
His first album, "Infinite" released in 1996 failed to chart, but second album, "The Slim Shady LP" hit Number 10 in the UK and Number 2 in the US, boosted by the singles, "My Name Is", (Number 2 in the UK) and "Guilty Conscience" (featuring his mentor Dr Dre)(Number 5 in the UK), although both tracks failed to hit the Top 20 in his native US.
It was his third release, "The Marshall Mathers LP" which started his run reaching Number 1 in both the UK & the US.
