Ed Sheeran manages to hold off the Christmas onslaught to claim a second week at Number 1 with "Perfect", his 16th week at Number 1 this year, a total bettered by just two artists in history - Frankie Laine & Elvis Presley. With the release of "Perfect Symphony" this week which features Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, his hold on the Christmas Number 1 spot should be guaranteed.
Here is Ed (& Andrea) with "Perfect Symphony".
Up three places to Number 2 is the first on the Christmas songs dominating this week's chart. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey, hits the runner up spot again, exactly 23 weeks after first reaching Number 2. If it fails to make Number 1 it will become just the fifth song in UK chart history to peak at Number 2 on two separate runs. The other four are - "Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro (1968 & 1975); "Crazy For You" by Madonna (1985 & 1991); "One For Sorrow" by Steps (1998 & 2001) and "Move It" by Cliff Richard (1958 & 2006).
Also up 3 to Number 3 is another Christmas classic, "Last Christmas" by Wham! It will be exactly one year ago this Christmas Day that George Michael sadly passed away, so it is fitting that this track should reach its highest chart position since its peaked at Number 2 behind Band Aid on 1984.
Static at Number 4 is "Havana" from Camila & Young Thug, while down 2 places to 5 is Rita Ora with "Anywhere".
Down four places to 6 is X-Factor winner Rak-Su (featuring Naughty Boy & Wyclef Jean) with "Dimelo", while up 3 to Number 7, is the annual favourite "Fairytale Of New York" from the Pogues & Kirsty.
Static at 8 is comic creation Big Shaq with "Man's Not Hot", while down 2 places to 7 is "Silence" from Marshmello & Khalid.
Finishing off the Top 10 we have Clean Bandit with Julia Michaels, down one place, with "I Miss You".
A big Christmas climber this week, up 27 places form last week's Number 42, is a track which hasn't been in the Top 20 for more than 50 years.
With her first Top 20 hit since 1964, this is Brenda Lee with "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree".
Also climbing 27 places this week, from 45 to 18, is a track which was originally a minor hit at Christmas 2014, but now hits the Top 20 for the first time.
With his first Top 20 hit in more than four years, this is Canadian crooner Michael Buble with "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like".
One place lower at 19 this week, is yet another big Christmas climber. A Christmas classic which first charted in 1973, but has never previously hit the Top 20.
Up 44 places, this is Elton John with "Step Into Christmas".
No surprise that this week's highest climber is yet another Christmas song. A track which first charted as part of his "Christmas EP" in 1988, but only hit the Top 3o for the first time two years ago.
Climbing 45 places to a new peak position of 23, this is Chris Rea with "Driving Home For Christmas".
A short break form the Christmas songs now, as climbing 14 places to Number 27 this week is new UK artist Ramz.
This is "Barking".
Up 31 places to 29 this week, we have one of the newer seasonal songs.
With "Santa Tell Me", this is Ariana Grande.
"It's Chrissstmasssss!", no Christmas chart would be complete without Noddy's voice bursting through your speakers.
Up 32 places to Number 20 this week, this is Slade from 1973 with "Merry Xmas Everybody".
Back in at Number 35 this week, with its highest chart position for 14 years, a track which originally hit Number 4 at Christmas 1972, then peaked at Number 2 in 1981, just after his death.
With the Plastic Ono Band & the Harlem Community Choir, here is John Lennon, with Yoko Ono and "Happy Xmas "War Is Over)".
Another of the newer Christmas songs climbs 39 places to Number 36 this week.
Originally a Number 3 hit four years ago, this is Leona Lewis with "One More Sleep".
The next three positions (37-39) are all also re-entries from Christmas classics.
First at Number 37, the late great Andy Williams, with "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year".
Next, at Number 38, is a track that actually predates the chart. The best selling song of all time first hit the Top 10 in 1977.
The first time back in the Top 40 for nearly 20 years, it's Harry "Bing" Crosby with "White Christmas".
The last of the Christmas songs in this week's Top 40 re-enters at Number 39.
Another track claiming its highest chart position since its initial run (it peaked at Number 6 back in 1979), this is Paul McCartney and "Wonderful Christmastime".
Here is Ed (& Andrea) with "Perfect Symphony".

As usual I finish off with tracks from the US & UK Number 1 albums. In the UK, Ed Sheeran completes the chart double of Number 1 single and album of the week as "Divide" hits Number 1 for the sixth time - equalling the record for a male solo artist with Sam Smith. The female record is jointly held by Adele & Emeli Sande with 7.
From the album, here is "Castle On The Hill".
In the US, U2 claim their 8th chart topper as "Songs Of Experience" takes the honours this week.
From the album, here is the single "You're The Best Thing About Me".
