WEEK ENDING 3rd FEBRUARY 2018

A surprise new entry at Number 1 this week, as Drake claims his third UK chart topper with "God's Plan", a track which he released, to little fanfare, earlier this week.  It is his first chart topper since 2016's "One Dance" which spent 15 weeks on top of the pile.

With his 68th UK hit single, here is Drake with "God's Plan".

Spending a second week at Number 2 is Ramz with his ode to his hometown, "Barking", while last week's Number 1 "River" drops to 3 after just one week at the top keeping up Eminem's incredible run of 9 Number Ones which have all spent just a single week at the top of the chart.

Up 10 more places to Number 4 this week, and attempting to claim her second successive Number 1 single, this is Dua Lipa with "IDGAF".

Climbing three more places is Jason Derulo featuring French Montana with "Tip Toe".  It is Derulo's first visit to the Top 5 in nearly three years, since his chart topping hit "Want You To Want Me", while down one place to 6 is Bruno Mars & Cardi B with "Finesse".

Down four places to 7 is former Number One, "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran, while up 5 to Number 8 this week is the lead single from the current Number One album, "The Greatest Showman" soundtrack, "This Is Me" by Keala Settle & the Greatest Showman Ensemble.

Finally into the Top 10 after two months on the chart, up 3 to 9, is Jax Jones with Ina Wroldsen with "Breathe" while at Number 10 for a third week is Craig David & Bastille with "I Know You".

Up 12 places to 14, is BBC Sound of 2018 winner Sigrid.

This is "Strangers".

New at 21 is the "other side" of the new Drake release, "Diplomatic Immunity", while also new at 32 is Neneh Cherry's daughter, Mabel (McVey).

Featuring NOT3S, this is "Fine Line".

Also making its debut, just one place lower, is a track which welcomes back Jess Glynne to the Top 40 after a 2 1/2 year absence.

Also featuring US rapper Macklemore, this is Rudimental with "These Days".

New at 40 this week is the latest release from Alex Pall & Andrew Taggart AKA Chainsmokers.

This is "Sick Boy".

At Number 47, its a welcome back to the chart for Kylie Minogue, who has her biggest new hit in nearly four years.

With hit single number 55, here is Kylie with "Dancing".

At Number 51, up 13 places, is this week's highest climber.

This is B Young with "Jumanji".

As usual I finish off with tracks from the US & UK Number 1 albums.  In the UK, for the third week in a row, the best selling album is the soundtrack to the movie "The Greatest Showman".

From the album, and sung by Loren Allred, this is "Never Enough".

In the US, Camila Cabello claims the double as her debut album, "Camila", claims the Number One spot as her single "Havana" does the same on the singles chart.

From the album, this is "Never Be The Same".
