Ed Sheeran's massive hit "Shape Of You" spends its 60th consecutive week on the UK Singles chart this week, becoming just the ninth record in UK chart history to achieve this mark. It also falls agonisingly short of becoming the first track EVER to spend 60 consecutive weeks on both the UK & US Singles charts - dropping out of the US Hot 100 after 59 weeks.
Of those 60 weeks, it has spent 50 in the Top 40, 37 in the Top 30, 27 in the Top 20 & 22 in the Top 10 including 14 weeks at Number 1.
Still a few weeks short of the current joint record holders, his own "Thinking Out Loud" and "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne on 73 weeks, it will be interesting to see how much further he can climb the Top 10 of all time list.
Here is Ed with the phenomenon that is "Shape Of You".
